Rivers Agile is a technology consulting company that primarily builds software for other organizations. While their work product is software, the way they make money is by selling their employees’ time to clients. One of the challenges of managing the business is having the right number of employees with the right skillsets when a customer who is willing to pay needs them. This team was asked to help design the optimal staffing model needed for various demand. Students investigated optimal staffing levels when demand is stable and helping to determine as demand increases when to pull levers.
