Marie Pelloni

As the Sr. Director of Talent & Workforce Innovation Initiatives at the Pittsburgh Technology Council and non-profit arm FortyX80, Marie has the exciting role to fill the talent stream for over 1,000 members of the Tech Council. Marie enables change by making connections, creating engagement, and curating experiences between Pittsburgh’s evolving STEM industry and our region’s diverse populations and communities. Marie connects with experienced tech workers in our region and talent needs of our region’s tech companies by running the Pittsburgh Career Connector, a variety of tech focused hiring events, and the Winning Talent Together Event Series. In addition, through Fortyx80 Marie leads K12 STEM education focused events and programs that includes a middle school computer science summer program, a leadership in STEM program for high school girls, a regional ED Tech conference, and an annual STEM Summit.

Prior to coming to the Pittsburgh Technology Council, Marie grew up north of Pittsburgh in the small town of Saxonburg and went on to graduate with a BS in Education from Penn State University and an MS in Math and Science Education from Slippery Rock University. Upon graduation, Marie first worked first as a middle school STEM educator for a decade and then went into science curriculum development with an ED Tech company.

Marie has been married for 19 years and together with her husbands has three extraordinary children ages 12-15. Outside of work, Marie can be found cheering on her family, running, reading, coaching, cooking, and bee-keeping.
