Capstone 2026: SHRS

SHRS lacks a clear and data-driven understanding of the full costs and financial performance of their academic programs. Because costs are dispersed across multiple units and tracked inconsistently, it is difficult to measure a program’s true financial viability and long-term sustainability. For any given program, they need to better understand if it is the best use of school resources or if those resources should be applied to a better opportunity. This team will evaluate four academic programs in the Department of Communication Science & Disorders (SLP, AuD, UG, & PhD)and three academic programs in the Department of Sports Medicine & Nutrition (AT, DN, & SS) to determine the viability of each program. Considerations that will be considered include enrollment trends, competitiveness against other universities, resources, financial performance of each program, and the cost benefit, if any, of adding so many students to a program. Students will also calculate the net revenue of each program.
